I want to add a book list in the side bar for myself and one for the kids. You know the kind. A little picture of the book cover that's clickable and the title and author of the book. I don't know how. This is where you come in to rescue me! Explain it to me like I'm very computer illiterate.

I'm no help, but I do like your wonky quilt. I'll be standing by and hoping to learn how to add little book covers to my sidebar too... I've always wanted to do that.
I am not help either with the computer part - I always have to get my kids to do the changing to my blog!
I also like the quilt - very cute!
go to librarything.com - its a great website, really easy. create an account (you don't have to provide anything but email addy) and add some books. then go to the TOOLs section of librarything. in the upper left it will say Make a Standard Blog Widget. do that. after you make some choices, it will give you some html.
Now bring up your blogger dashboard and choose LAYOUT. it will say ADD A GADGET. click on that. It will bring up a popup. choose the bit to add HTML/JAVA to your blog. Dupe the html that librarything gave you into this. save.
