isn't she....pretty in pink

row10 for lu

i did some sewing yesterday. it felt so good. i finished up lu's row for row10. above is a signature block for the back of her quilt. she asked us all to make a girl block. aren't i cute as a girl block? empire waists always look good on me. and i'm so cute with stripy tights. not that i own any in real life. my head and hands aren't square in real life either. ha ha.

row10 for lu

for lu's row, she asked us for square in a square in sherbert colors with a "filler block" thrown in. i chose to use a quarter log cabin. yes, i'm calling it a quarter log cabin! why do they call that block a half log cabin? it makes no sense! it's not half of a log cabin. it's a fourth of a log cabin. can anyone explain to me otherwise?

happy sunday to you!

I think it is a called a half log cabin because you put logs on two sides instead of four. Two is half of four. But, I agree with you that it is actually a QUARTER of a log cabin block. It is silly the way our language works sometimes.

Love your lady...warning, they are addictive! My group just did an exchange of liberated ladies, and I finished my top, it's quilted and ready for binding. They are so cheerful and yours is adorable!

In stitches,
Teresa :o)
