i need to start posting more often. i think i get caught up in all the things i could or should be sharing and get overwhelmed. so i am going to just start making smaller posts. see if i stick with it. see if you'll stick with me : )
so, for today, i'm not going to tell you about our weekend away (too much to say). i'm going to talk about yesterday's sewing.

i wanted to work on something just for fun. don't get me wrong. i enjoyed sewing the snoopy quilt. but i wanted to work on something just to let my creative juices flow. and what gets my creative juices flowing? houses, free piecing and my scrapbox.

i think almost all (except the snoopys) came from
tia. I hope she doesn't mind the garish outcome of the scraps she sent me. putting all these fabrics together really made me laugh and smile. i'm calling this placemat "snoopy's house of decadance".

the backing came from my good friend
craftyturtle. and the binding was leftover from the snoopy quilt. i almost always make extra binding when i make it. it's nice to have on hand.
machine pieced, quilted and bound
free pieced

these beauties from the last round of the
doll quilt swap (which i'm hoping will have another round soon - hint hint)
~ i always mean to say thank you for all the lovely comments you all leave, but i never seem to tell you. sometimes i email you back. sometimes i try to email you back, but your email isn't in your profile (ahem!). so thank you dear blog readers. i truly enjoy hearing your comments.
~ and for the record, i have sent many an email response to "no reply" before realizing that it doesn't go anywhere - duh!
