machine pieced, quilted and bound
We're home from the beach! It was fun, but we're glad to be home. Nothing like your own bed, your own tap water, your own toilet (you know's it's true) and your own space (from each other). I'll try and share some pictures later on this week.
I mailed out my placemat to Kristin/knit one quilt too the Saturday we left.
Remember what I said in my last post about perfectionism? And that a few parts of the placemat were bothering me? Well, it was a couple of letters. Part of me wanted to leave them, but then my husband wisely pointed out that if I want the words to be read, I'd better change them. Good point.
Kristin and I had decide to make placemats with a fall theme, use free pieced letters and use as many scraps as we could.
Thanks Kristin! It was a fun swap!
PS blogger's being a real booger. grrrr.

I LOVE it! That crow is just the best.
It is the BEST! I love it! All the colors and letters and the crow...WOW!
Fabulous placemat! I'd leave it on the table at an empty place, because I wouldn't want to cover it!
This is the cutest ever! Just when I think I've made enough birds, you make another one that I just have to have!! I love his striped feet!! So adorable!
So, what letters did you change? I can't tell. I really like the color progression red, orange, yellow and then green. it is very pretty as was the apple one you got ;) Hope your trip was a fun one. Oh, my house swap is starting this month in sew new to me bee. I can wait to get them back.
Love it!
Thank you again Sarah! It's just perfect for me.
it's marvelous. I love the pumpkins. I don't know how you guys could actually use them as placemats. Wallhangings definitely.

Wonderful design! So whimsical and perfect for the theme. Lucky Kristin!
I love that placemat! So cute. I love the stripey legs on the crow, they make the whole thing.
